Overview

Lupo Solitairo 2.0 has arrived - we've waited a while to secure another one like him. This colt is bred to run up to a mile (1600m) and is the perfect Karaka Million candidate.
By Rich Hill Stud’s Japanese sire, Satono Aladdin, this colt is destined for a spring and summer 3-year-old campaign in the north, where he will look for qualification into the Karaka Million or the Kiwi Slot race. He may also become a nice trade horse at the end of the 3 year old racing season, like Lupo Solitario, who we also raced and sold, winning the Bonecrusher Stakes beating star filly Orchestral before heading to Hong Kong.

To summarise, he is a cracking purchase at $160,000 out of Karaka Book One and presented very well by Cambria Park, 4 weeks post sales he has let down well and developed with some good growth. He comes across as a playful colt, yet very relaxed with the handler, well balanced, and with a wonderful nature. He is a proud, confident type who is going places with how he walks and moves.
Conformation wise he is perfect – a great eater who will grow to about 16.1 hands and sit at 500kg racing weight.

This Satono Aladdin colt has a real presence, rolling along with confidence in each stride that he takes. He uses himself well, with a great push from behind from strong hind quarters. We believe that once he’s broken in, he will showcase a light, economic action and will be all “power and speed”.

This colt will no doubt be a strong sprinter miler. He is the perfect syndicate horse for people who want a serious horse, with a strong pedigree, and who is already well on his way. We had a great result with Lupo Solitario two years ago, and we’re expecting the same if not better result this time.
